Young people today are out of hand...

How many of you always hear this?
"Aiyo...you know ah...the young people today very terrible wan. Don't know how to show respect, very rude, always no manners. Never listen.... Last time, where we got like that bad."

See what Plato says: FYI Plato was a Greek philosopher who studied under Socrates, another 'hor-liao' guy who was in a way responsible for the birth of the western philosophy. These guys lived more than 2000 years ago in ancient Greece.

He complains: "What is happening to our young people? They disrespect their elders, they disobey their parents. They ignore the law. They riot in the streets inflamed with wild notions. Their morals are decaying. What is to become of them?"

Here's another one from an even earlier time...8 B.C. It's even better than the one above!! This guy was a poet, thinker...Hesiod:
"I see no hope for the future of our people if they are dependent on frivolous youth of today, for certainly all youths are reckless beyond words...When I was young, we were taught to be discreet and respectful of elders, but the present youth are exceedingly disrespectful and impatient of restrain"

Sounds familiar??? Hah! Sounds like this problem is as old as man.... Good luck, parents!
