Donuts in Alor Star

Since I was on the subject of donuts...remembered that Sayang Cake House, one of the more established cake houses in Alor Star had just started their donut line-up. You can get half a dozen for RM9.50 for now. Introductory discount...something like that. Anyway, bought 6 the other night and this is how they look like. Kinda yummy looking. They're really sweet, actually a little too sweet for my liking. You get quite a variety of toppings (is it how you call them?). One thing though, the base (the donut) all taste almost the same. No different flavours. I am no donut expert, so I don't know whether the base can be different.

Anyway, found this other popular 'brand' J.Co. Some of the donuts above look like theirs. But then again....you can only have that many varieties, right? Whatever it is, I'll see for myself what Big Apple Donuts & Coffee has to offer when the Mergong TESCO opens since their opening in other towns seemed to be quite talked about. Apparently people didn't mind queueing just to get a bite. At least there is something to look forward to in this old sleepy 'city' up north here.
