Okay... the dust is settling. That video telling us to change our lifestyle is back hogging the airways again... 5 in 1 naik they call this.... petrol, diesel, gas. And there is the price increase in sugar too. Add that to the hike in postage - Pos Malaysia will be sold soon I guess. So naik harga to make it attractive for the prospective buyer? But guess what, it's the old pakcik and makcik, your regular rural folks who will be worse hit. Public transport is inefficient. Businesses will increase their charges since their operating costs go up.
In the meantime, we've got lavish projects coming up like the new palace, monuments, etc. And we've expensive purchases like the Scorpene sub which is sitting in the dock... one with a leak some where, they are still figuring it out, so they say. That was the purchase linked to the unmentionable Mongolian lady. Today I read the PM's department has a budget of RM4 billion! And 40, 000 ++ staff! Bloated! So much for one department! Gahmen service has remained the main supplier of voter support I guess.
Then the national health insurance... somebody will probably make big bucks here too. Soon to come, toll, electricity tarriff, water (???).... biasalah, everyone must make money.
And then they tell the small time traders... don't naik harga. The percentage is only very small. 750 million ringgit they save from this exercise they say and they are going to channel it to health and education. The joke probably will be this... Yup! Education and health will be getting the money... probably to some building contractors or service provider, bloated tenders, a likelihood. Small traders have a right to naik their harga-lah. Big tai-kor naik harga... small underlings must follow also. If not how to survive.
All the hikes to prevent Malaysia from becoming bankrupt??? I think real austerity drive from the leaders for themselves would be a good start. But the plunder remains...
Rakyat didahulukan they say... Yup! Rakyat bayar dahulu!!!! The crap that they feed us with!

In my honest opinion, I think you should stop saying bad things about your government. Many posts you've made that are criticizing your government. From the other posts you wrote, i assume you are a Christian. If you really are one, please stop wasting time writing all these. Take this time to pray for your government instead of writing all these about them. All these writings will not help the government, instead it'll make the people reading your posts have further prejudices toward the government. In your Christian bible it says 'Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.' I found it in Ephesians. Please consider what i said. Thank you.
Is it wrong to criticize the government? You mean to say that we should keep silent just because of our faiths? I am a citizen of my country. I love my country. But there are many things which I feel (and I think there are many others too) who feel the same. Malaysia used to have a better standing in the region you know. Now we are behind those countries which used to be behind us. We practise double standards for everything and we say it's the right thing to do. We award scholarships based on skin colour. We separate the people by planting prejudices.... the list is very long. Go do your homework please. Wrongs should be made right. I stand corrected if I am wrong.... and might I also add.. Wow! You said your 'honest opinion'... honestly, do you think we have fair policies???
Words should be followed by actions. I agree to most of the negative aspects of your country that i read about. But causing others to dislike or hate their own country is not something what your God or mine would like to see happen. I understand you would like to see your country to be fairer in many aspects, so do I. You have a great blog with many people reading it, not to mention some nice posts about food in your country and the books you've read. Maybe it would be better if you can write more posts to encourage your readers to be more passionate to help in the many situations in your country. You love your country, I love my country too. Pray to your God for directions on how you can help your country. I believe your God will listen to you. Sorry if i made you angry. My intention is to come in peace.
Ah! You are the one who bring God in. That is the problem with our country.. we legitimize a lot using God. I'd like to hear your views on the lavish expenses. Or how the policies are getting more skewed with the passing of time. I see more religiosity around me, making a mockery of that religiosity itself. I could go on... but it's a waste of time.
Point here is... you have what seems to be bad governance, unfair policies, what you are implying is that we should be silent about it and just pray about it. My role as one small citizen is to sometimes voice up my iratenesss at the things that affect my life. This is what my blog is about. I am apolitical most of the time.
Reading a 'criticims' (as you label it) about an issue is not supposed to make one dislike a country. You feel that? Gosh! You read far worse things about Malaysia from other sources.
I am like most ordinary Malaysians... but this is a land too with failings if you are willing to see them.
Do you believe in justice, equality, fairness, etc? Do you see it much in our system now? Take the simplest gauge... look at our civil service, look at its racial breakdown, the officers occupying the top positions, go into the way they run their departments... then tell me, is there fairness??? Again, I could go on... it's not just one race that's bearing the brunt I've also learned... people plunder from their own kind too...
BTW again... people who come in peace don't shroud themselves in secrecy.... 8) Still the no face guy.... (or is it a gal). But bottom line, you seem afraid to put a name to yourself though you dare comment.
hahaha..i like the Rakyat Bayar Dahulu!!
LOL! Yup! It's another form of credit! Beats digging into the other kitties.
How dare them!
That is just that to what is the thing that keeps popping out in my mind. each time i watched the news, surfing thru local news sites and even flipping on the newspapers, all that i just can’t seems to be chewing, spitting it out and throw them out of my puny middle class mind would be, the phrase 'how dare them?!' keeps popping out subliminally. Keeps me to think about it, and really think it outright, how dare them, really.
They acted so irresponsibly, ignorant and straight out without considerations at all. it’s just keep come crashing and tumbling swirling out to me, how dare does this luckily elected government proceeds with these price hikes! after all the hardships we the public, after all the incoming certain crunch towards us the working class, after having to keep on to still be on our good thoughts towards how no significant developments or any achievements were made for the sake of us the citizens, still keep crossing our fingers that something good might come out of all these. out of all the heckling amongst the party politicians and people, out of all the by and side and whatever elections that keeps showing how public preferences are just not nudging their way and how their style of aristocrat politics and sperm-club based monarchist government are getting less and lesser efficient, they did finally throw the price hike towel direct to our plain drained of hope faces and tell us to kowtow to it and just suck it.
Maybe it is just all too true. maybe it is just all to realistic, what the words on the streets are circulating, come next election, the ruling hat is not going their way but the 180 degree's off their way. they really must have want that to happen really really bad. and for people like me who do still have their feel of awe and respect to their long withstanding portfolios, maybe its just the right time to have alternate views and start believing at what the oppositions are preaching on their stands. even though i do think sometimes what are they opposing at are a bit off, and do create confusion once in a while, more the worse this current governing party is even more out-of-touch with the people on the reality land and just outright insensitive to our feedbacks and pocket fillings.
Maybe we should just be tasteless and just start spitting curses and sorts off on the street riots. maybe it is just the perfect dawn of time to shut off normal order of conscience and see how plain anger will affect their way of treating the people. after all, the governing politicians seems to be just all too well and good to let the people to suffer further in these hard times. why bother anymore?
