This is the food on the table....buffet style!
The nasi dagang. The fish used is ikan tongkol...that's in standard Bahasa Malaysia. In Kedah, we refer to it as ikan mambu. I am told by my colleague from Terengganu that they call it ikan aye. The spring onion is mixed with ulam raja, giving the salad a really nice mix of taste. The pulut is steamed with coconut milk...I had two helpings of this today plus a little bit of soto. A bit of a glutton today.
This is the soto, made up of bee hoon, nasi himpit, soo-hoon, taugeh and chicken soup. Oh! I forgot you have to put in a generous amount of finely chopped chilli in soya sauce to get that kick!
This was seen on one of the tables. The owner of the table has 'gone to work'. Kept this for later.
And desert....dokong kering. Really sweet. There were also some cakes, the purple coloured tepung talam and egg tart.
See what we can come up with! Like the kids, this makes going to work fun! An irony for today. I'm tickled pink!

Can always think of any excuses to have kenduri. Next siaper punya kucing b'day? hehe...
Kucing birday...no-lah. Though that would be a fabulous idea. I've a colleague who keeps 20-30 kucing. If do kendurri, wah, 1/10 of or schooling days got kenduri.
