In the company of the young... missed two though...
After dinner activity.... bowling. Jov's first time. Did a first with her today! Hah! She ended at the bottom of the ladder. 8)
Later in the night... Other Half and I went for Watch Night Service at church. Interesting to note that Watch Night Service can be traced back to the American Civil War. On 31st Dec, 1862, the black slaves were waiting for the proclamation that they'd be free from the yoke of slavery.. and somehow that tradition was caught on by the Methodists...something to that extent.
Been quite many years since we last attended a Watch Night Service. Brought Daughter and Son along...it's like welcoming the New Year with our extended family. 40 over of us came...
After the service there was some refreshments.... young people

And this... some fooling around... one of the 'missed' 2 for bowling...he was trying to block a shot but didn't succeed... 8) There weren't any big fanfare or great revelry, but it's good to be reminded of God's love for us.....
