Anyway, this was breakfast for one of the mornings...to go with the maple syrup. Pancakes are a hit with Son. Whenever I do this, he will sit down to have his breakfast before going to school and can 'whack' quite a lot of pieces!
I packed for Lil One to take to school, complete with pancake syrup and strawberries... forgot to take a pic of this western bento.. 8)

we like maple syrup with pancakes too...some times, we add overipe bananas and mash them into the pancake... even yummier. but i can't really taste the difference btw syrup and maple syrup... however just the fact that they come from trees ...

monay, maybe ask your mum to tap your rambutan tree.. maybe can get rambutan syrup ... quite flavorful don't you think?
