This was on the 5th October. It's significant cos it's the first baby dedication service at our new premise.
Like all Chinese, red eggs are a must for such an occasion. This baby's family had thrown in a makan along with the full moon celebrations. 'Full moon' here basically means the baby has reached her first milestone of her life. In ancient China, it was a cause for celebrations as conditions were harsh and it was a struggle just to get through the first month! So at the end of the first 30 days, a 'full moon' a celebration would be held to officially recognize the baby's existence and also to integrate the mother back into regular life. But these days...mothers are integrated almost right immediately. 8) Mine was! ...He! He! I started driving within the 1st week itself!
The proud parents and maternal grandparents... Baby A is a really cute and alert baby. God bless her! May she grow healthy and strong. And someday, when she is older..she'd be looking at these pics and saying..."Gosh, My grandparents and my parents looked so young!" LOL!
Our pastor who presided over the dedication service....
Congratulating the proud papa.... so Baby A, you've made history. 8)

The makan after that.....it was nice to hang around a bit, talk a bit and eat. Sharing the joy of one of ours. 8)
