They have these walkways built above ground level for visitors to walk to the riverside. We saw mud skippers and hermit crabs down beneath. Brought back memories of myself as a student. We were in Form 4 and had a lesson on mangrove swamp. I think our Bio teacher told us to gather some samples or something like that. So, a group of us cycled to the swamp one afternoon. Once we got there, some of us jumped into the swamp... kononnya to collect samples. At that young age, most of us did not quite understand the meaning of fear.... and would jump headlong first into everything! LOL!
I was still on the bridge when I saw a snake swimming in the water and yelled out to my friends. Everyone scampered up onto the rickety bridge as quickly as possible... that was so many years ago... I think we had a good laugh after the initial fear dissipated...
Saw lots of these distant cousins around. It seemed to me they were having a whale of a time. This one had just found a treasure which he wanted to stash away but was being chased by another.
This is one is a junk food fan...all of them are. He was happily chomping away on a piece of keropok. The monkeys in this park are good at foraging the rubbish bins for junk and fast foods. We are in part responsible....
Monkey wondering about his future....
Why you might ask??? You see these people are supposed to be bridging their world and ours but the way the go about it...the guy whose butt is facing the camera is spraying paint all over. Never mind he's not wearing any protective gear and inhaling all those aerosolized paint but he's also sending the paint all over the place...so, both kena but the monkeys will get more since their habitat is under invasion. 8(
