Lies, Inefficiency and Foolishness

A couple of months back, our PM said there would always be a 30 sen subsidy for fuel. Guess he never imagined oil hitting USD40 per barrel. At last count, our petrol should be priced at RM1.30 or less but it's still a good 50 sen above that margin. Does that qualify as a lie?

Two days ago, The Star has an article about TNB mulling over their AGM...whether or not the gahmen will allow them to raise their tariff further next June. Fuel and coal prices all rolling downhill and these people still want to raise the tariff. Reason given was they've locked in their fuel prices. Wah! No matter what...we have to pay!

Bukit Antarabangsa tragedy. Fifteen years ago, after the Highland Towers tragedy, they said no more hill slope development. And...after the most recent tragedy, the same hollow echo is heard again. Then we read about how the developers are threatening to sue the Selangor state gahmen for banning Class 3 and Class 4 hill slopes development. See RM and sen....they remember nothing. How on earth did we get to this? Greed everywhere.... Nobody is learning anything....and no heads are rolling also.

PPSMI...December is almost midway and still no official news. School reopens in less than a month and it's still feet dragging.... There're lots of good things going for Malaysia but sometimes I wonder whether these good things will continue to be there if we continue at this rate. Our own Ministers are not sending their own children to our national schools and they are saying that our schools are first rate, world class. Something is amiss here. They pay only lip service.

the thing that got me so furious this morning was that TENAGA have to pay the IPP for the over-production of electricity... consumers have to suffer for the bad mgmt of some goons!

The silent majority are usually on the losing end. We faithfully pay our taxes and this is siphoned off here and there. Our hard-earned money to be used to compensate all those rich blokes who bought those huge bungalows at Bukit Antarabangsa?! What logic is there?

Broken?

Education in doldrums... An already broken education system given a really hard whack by Covid-19.  I used to read about pandemics, that a b...
